Erik Van Wyk
Erik is a constantly evolving commercials director. As a high-concept storyteller each script’s treatment is informed by the bigger advertising idea, and ignited by the characters driving the emotional nuance of the story. Erik’s visuals have a refined cinematic quality combining layers of in-camera and subtle post-production techniques specific to each project. His diverse body of award-winning work includes projects for global brands Johnnie Walker, Honda and Ikea, and leading international agencies Wieden+Kennedy, The Martin Agency and BBH. He is a creative turned director. He was an art director and writer respectively. He studied photography, art and industrial robotics engineering.
